Kara Sundlun is a multiple Emmy Award winning news anchor and talk show host at WFSB-TV, one of the most watched CBS stations in the country and the number one news station in Connecticut.  Kara solo anchors the number one midday newscast Eyewitness News at Noon,  hosts the popular daytime talk show Great Day Connecticut, and as Chief Digital Anchor Kara is the primary breaking news anchor for the streaming channel WFSB +. Kara is also a leading voice in wellness, health and spirituality interviewing some of the greatest minds on the cutting edge of wellness for her streaming show and podcast Kara’s Cures. Kara has covered some of the biggest stories of our time, from the War in Iraq, to reporting LIVE from the terror attacks on 9-11, to breaking the horrific news of the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.

           

Kara is the author of the inspirational memoir called Finding Dad: From Love Child to Daughter where she shares the story of meeting her biological father Bruce Sundlun when she was a teenager and he was the Governor of Rhode Island.  Amidst a national media frenzy, Kara learned about the power of forgiveness when she took the journey to get to know her father. Today Kara speaks to top universities, corporations, and non-profits on the power of “Owning Your Story,” and the secrets of  a broadcaster to empowered communication.   Kara’s story, and life-changing tips for transforming relationships and finding your purpose, has been featured across top tier media such as CBS This Morning, The Huffington Post, Fox News, The Washington Post as well as on many radio shows and podcasts.
